We are home
remodelers in Minneapolis and the surrounding areas, so we know how cold
and snowy winters can get around here. You might not think about remodeling your
home during the cold season, but think again! Here are a few of our favorite
winter time projects for home remodelers like us!
Hardwood Floors
This time of year is prime time for hardwood floors. The dry
air will help prevent gapping in the boards and because there is less humidity,
that decreases the chances that water will damage or warp the wood. Plus,
hardwood floors can help insulate your home better than old and worn flooring.
Home remodelers like us can install hardwood flooring when we come to your home
for your next home renovation project.
Lower Level
Remodeling
Your basement is already a part of your home and indoors, so
you won’t have to worry about exposing the rest of your home to the frigid
outdoor temperatures and outdoor elements like snow and freezing rain. Plus,
the dry air can help decrease the chances of mold forming on exposed surfaces.
But home remodelers like us do what we can to ensure this won’t happen, no
matter how humid or rainy it is outside!
Bathroom and Kitchen Renovations
Similar to your lower level, because your bathroom and
kitchen are already a part of your home, you won’t have to worry about open
doors and windows or entire walls open to the outdoors. If you are having any
walls painted, the dry air makes it easier for the paint to dry. Or if there is
any sort of adhesive needed for the work, the adhesive will dry faster in the
less humid air.
